About the event
Hello, this is Zoe!
I will work with students this summer to help them gain social-emotional skills. You might ask yourself, “What are social-emotional skills, and why does my child need them?”
Social-emotional learning (SEL) is a skill-development process through which we learn how to manage emotions, problem-solve, and create positive relationships with others. SEL skills can be learned just as students learn how to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Students are nurtured to connect with, embrace, and comprehend their own emotions, and this is an integral part of many district and school initiatives to increase student well-being and academic performance.
My lessons are fun, creative, and meet common core state standards. If anyone has any questions, please email or call my office. If you would like additional resources, please feel free to ask; I have a wide variety of resources that I think anyone would find helpful when it comes to continuing lessons at home with students.
