Food Insecurity is an important risk indicator for intimate partner violence; survivors who escape abuse disproportionately rely on public assistance and low-wage jobs for survival and thus face a higher risk of food insecurity. 

Recognizing the urgency of this issue, The River Valley Shelter has compiled a list of food resources for survivors to be able to access:
